The organization has processed 33.7 million pounds of e-waste while partnering with 413,484 residents and 73,801 businesses. Resalable items undergo refurbishment to functional condition and are resold; non-refurbishable items are processed through R2 and e-Steward certified vendors. The dual-track model creates economic value from device recovery while ensuring responsible material handling of unrepairable components, demonstrating viability of community-scale refurbishment integrated with comprehensive recycling infrastructure.
