The "messenger bag" is a bag made from the truck tarp that became a design icon. Freitag reuses almost 400 tonnes of tarp annually, the equivalent of 110 km of tracks in a row. This bag is an example of how to reuse materials at the end of the product lifecycle. In the case of Freitag's bags, the product does not undergo a complex process, but they are reassembled with new components becoming distinct products.
