CUMMINS RECON CORE DEPOSIT SYSTEM

Focus | COMPONENTS Cycle | TECHNICAL X1 | REMANUFACTURE Business Model | PRODUCT ORIENTED Material Flow | CIRCULAR

Cummins ReCon operates a liberal core deposit policy where customers pay upfront, receive remanufactured engines, then recover full deposit credit upon return of old core if hard internals (block, head, crankshaft, camshafts, lifters) are salvageable. Partial credit applies if some components are beyond repair. This dual-payment model (deposit + remanufactured price) incentivizes core return, ensures material supply for remanufacturing, and creates circular asset flow. Incoming cores are completely disassembled, cleaned without metal loss, and rebuilt to Cummins specifications.
