95 % of disposable cameras can be reused in new cameras through a remanufacturing process. Once cameras have been used, they are collected via camera shops and retailers. The disposable cameras are then disassembled by the original equipment manufacturer or other stakeholders into modules and pieces after being identified. These components and parts are reassembled into new cameras and tested. Covers are recycled substantially into the same goods or downcycled into other goods. Manufacturers strive to improve recyclability at the design stage; for example, only recyclable materials are chosen, and modular design of component parts are common. All the components of cameras can be reused for ten times.
